Annie & Mario

A few weekends ago I had the privilege of designing the flowers for Annie and Mario's outdoor wedding at the Nelson Family Vineyards. I really enjoyed working with Annie and her wonderful mother-in-law in coming up with ideas for her theme of yellow and brown. The end result was an Italian countryside look that suited the bride and groom perfectly, both being Italian.

Annie's bouquet was a lovely combination of roses, button chrysanthemums, sunflowers, freesia, chocolate cosmos and rosemary. (one of my favorite bouquets!)

Mario's boutonniere was three sprigs of golden wheat paired with button chrysanthemums and freesia, and wrapped in chocolate velvet.

This is the custom ring bearer's pillow I made for the wedding, it is white silk with a chocolate velvet ribbon and bow. Too cute!

The ceremony arrangements were a combination of the signature sunflowers, paired with spider mums, bells of ireland, hanging millet and curly willow branches to add some height. I loved the country look the galvanized tin market vases gave the arrangements. They were set on either side of the ceremony area on wine barrels and later used at the reception.

The head table spray arrangement included the above flowers along with roses, yellow and white button chrysanthemums, rosemary, italian oregano and chocolate cosmos.

Color Splashes!

Splendid fun with some stunning orchids I couldn't resist at the market when I picked up flowers for a wedding a couple weekends ago. This arrangement was for a friend of mine at Pompadora's Salon in Ukiah, Ca. for her salon party featuring the newest hair products. Lily is an amazing stylist, so if you are looking for an upbeat, professional stylist in Mendocino County she just may be your lady! Perfect for weddings as well. Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

Black, White and Gold!

An arrangement I did for a photographer friend of mine for her grand opening of the new studio in downtown Ukiah. Her theme was black and white, with a touch of gold which I was unaware of while putting this together. It just so happened that I chose to put Craspedia in the arrangement along with the lush combination of Star of Bethlehem and Black Knight Scabiosa, Perfection!
